Pop tabs collections for Ronald McDonald House

Hello! I am helping lead a collection of pull/pop tabs at CMS to go towards the Ronald McDonald House. If you did not know, the Ronald McDonald House Charities are a nonprofit family and children's charity dedicated to supporting families with sick children in their time of need. At the moment there is a small collecting bin in the cafeteria and one in the teachers' lunchroom. If you have a lot of tabs or if a collecting bin is full, please give them directly to me in room 121 at CMS! Thank you!

Qu4 Week 9 update

This will be the last blog post/update for this school year.  6th and 7th grade are learning school supply/classroom object vocabulary as well as practicing the alphabet and reviewing past topics. We are playing some new games or doing new activities that we did not yet play or do to practice our vocabulary knowledge. We are also focusing on culture this week and next week. 6th grade will watch a video on what life is like in Spanish-speaking countries. 7th grade will view the 1956 film "The Red Balloon" for historical, cultural, and language learning. Did you watch "The Red Balloon" as a child as I did?  8th grade had the DC trip Monday through Wednesday. If your child did not go, we played some summer BINGO. We are learning now about a dedicated teacher who rides a donkey to deliver books to children and help with homework in rural Colombia. We are continuing our Spanish unit with fun learning activities and games.  It's hard to believe the school year
